MxPx’s Mike Herrera brings Tumbledown to Billings

Tumbledown, a side project of Mike Herrera of MxPx, appears in Billings on November 21.

In an early Sunday show, Tumbledown appears at the Railyard with opening support from Billings group The Forestry.

Tumbledown features the talents of Mike Herrera, best-known as vocalist and bass guitarist for the pop punk band MxPx. Tumbledown’s sound differs greatly from that of MxPx, showcasing Herrera on guitar and a more countrified version of Americana rock with punk-inflected riffs and pure rock & roll attitude (dubbed pop-punk-a-billy), though Herrera has been known to cover a few MxPx tunes live.

On the “Empty Bottle Tour,” the band is touring in support of their latest album, “Empty Bottle,” released in October 2010. Tickets, costing $10, are available at the door only.
