Bozeman’s Jeni Fleming releases seventh album

Bozeman’s classically trained jazz artist Jeni Fleming comes to the Depot on Friday, Nov. 19 to celebrate the release of her seventh album, “Come to Life.” Of her seventh album, Fleming said, “the other six albums were a warm-up. I feel like I’m finally discovering how to sing, how to honestly represent myself as a musician.”

“Come to Life” is a collection of original songs, jazz standards and re-arranged pop/rock tunes, and Fleming’s first recording with her current six-piece group. The album features several original tunes written by Fleming’s husband and bandmate Jake Fleming, as well as covers of Willie Nelson’s “Angel Flying too Close to the Ground” and Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away.”

The group performs Friday at the Billings Depot. Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, costing $15, are available at the door or in advance at Rimrock Mall Guest Services Kiosk, online at www.tickets300.com, or by phone at 1-800-514-2849.

Fleming also performs Missoula on Nov. 20, and has concerts scheduled in Whitefish on Dec. 18 and in Kalispell on Dec. 19. Visit www.jenifleming.com for details.
